Bulk in-fill (Grouting) Consolidation
Our team offers bulk in-fill consolidation services utilizing grouting applications for the consolidation of abandoned mine workings, sewers, and adits. This technique can also be used to control ground water and achieve superficial stability. We utilize high volume peristaltic pumps of various sizes to supply mixed grout to the holes, delivering it through rubber or alkethene pipework.
Depending on the depth and specifications of the project, we inject the grout to the mine-workings using either plastic polyduct or steel casing. Our team ensures that the grout mixture used is tailored to ground conditions with options including cement, PFA, sand, cement bentonite or chemical grout. Our goal is to provide efficient and effective solutions to our clients’ needs while prioritizing safety and quality.
Grouting Machinary
We offer a wide range of multi-functional drilling rigs that range from 3 tonne to 15 tonne in weight. Our rotary open hole technique allows us to drill to a maximum depth of 100 metres while our rotary core drilling can be completed from 76mm up to 100mm. We use a variety of drilling mediums, including water, mist, mud or foam depending on the specific needs of our clients.
Our drilling services are also equipped with dynamic sampling tools, such as SPT’s and CPT’s, as well as rotary percussive drilling methods. We utilize both Down The Hole Hammer (DTHH) and Symmetrix systems and can accommodate PW type casing as well as rotary casing up to 150mm in diameter.

Shafts & Adits (mine Entry)
The distinction between Shafts and Adits can be explained as follows: A shaft is an entry point that allows vertical access to the desired feature, while an adit is an angled roadway that allows surface access to the target seam.
Our team has conducts extensive exploration activities to identify potential mining areas. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to gather accurate data on subsurface geology. Our findings will inform decision-making processes to ensure safe and sustainable mining practices.
The distinction between Shafts and Adits can be explained as follows: A shaft is an entry point that allows vertical access to the desired feature, while an adit is an angled roadway that allows surface access to the target seam.
We specialize in mobilization and construction of internally designed shaft safety platforms, which are available in varying lengths ranging from 6 to 18 meters upon request. Our services also encompass complete safety measures, including trained operatives who are experts in fall arrest and safety lanyard systems, calibrated harnesses, and Ayrshire reel systems.
For full-depth treatment of shafts, we offer borehole diameters ranging from 88.9mm to 150mm. Our expertise includes grout and granular backfill options as well. Additionally, we own and operate calibrated gas monitoring equipment, ensuring that we maintain a safe and healthy working environment for our employees at all times. Our priority is to provide our clients with high-quality, secure, and safe services while complying with all legal regulations and standards.
Adit Consolidation
We employ an advanced methodology in locating adits by utilizing spaced probe lines to define the extents of their side walls. We also conduct further probing to accurately determine the location of the adit mouth. To ensure a comprehensive approach, treatment holes are drilled to the pavement on the same projection as the adit.
We also offer the option of utilizing either granular or concrete plug solutions, depending on the specific needs of the project. Through our extensive experience and use of advanced techniques, we are committed to delivering effective and efficient adit location services to our clients.
Capping & other surface safety options
We are able to provide a reinforced Shaft Cap solution for you by following a comprehensive process. This will involve excavating to rock or competent material, followed by laying a Blinding Layer of Concrete. We will then proceed to supply and erect a steel cage, install Concrete Shuttering, and pour the final concrete. In order to account for areas of lesser risk, we will include Concrete plugs that will be placed by bulk filling the excavation with concrete.
We also provide additional options with Geotextile Netting available upon request to meet specific requirements. Our team will be utilizing materials that meet the required standards for the compaction backfill up to the existing ground level. With our expertise in the construction domain, we are confident in our ability to deliver a durable and reliable solution for your project.
