Demolition & Geotechnical Ltd is committed to promoting sustainability in construction. Concern for the environment and promoting a broader sustainability agenda are integral to our activities and the management of the organisation without compromise for future generations. We are committed to continually improve our working environment and processes and we aim to follow and to promote good sustainability practice, to reduce the environmental impacts of all our activities and to help our clients and partners to do the same.
Our Sustainability Policy is based upon the following principles:
- To comply with, and exceed where practicable, the minimum requirements of all applicable legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Integrate sustainability considerations into our business decisions.
- To ensure that all our staff are fully aware of our Sustainability Policy and are committed to implementing and improving it.
- To make clients and suppliers aware of our Sustainability Policy and encourage them to adopt sound sustainable management practices.
- Communicating openly about our environmental and sustainability policies and best practice.
- To play a proactive role in contributing to achieving sustainability where we have influence.
- To review, annually report, and to continually strive to improve our sustainability performance.
- Minimise waste and ensure waste streams are segregated for recycling.
- Continually look for ways to reduce energy consumption and improved energy efficiency.
- Reduce and reuse and recycle of materials.
- Investigate use of alternative fuels for the powering of specialist plants.
Our commitment to sustainability is communicated through our health, safety environmental and quality management systems as well as our internal communications and client and external supply chain.
